Scaredy Cat ~ Witch Hat

Have you seen the darling witch hats that were displayed in the Close To My Heart Annual Inspirations book? (page 38) They were also featured on Jeanette Lynton's Blog, Make it from Your Heart,  with assembly instructions. I admired them all and thought I would give this project a try, and then....while on a shopping trip through the craft store, I saw some paper mache witch hats. I thought these would make a perfect base and cut out some extra steps. {Kind of like cheating!} I did incorporate several other ideas from the CTMH hats, including some Cricut cuts and the Scaredy Cat papers.

Frightful Friday ~ Spooky Cards

For my last Frightful Friday post I have some spooky cards for you. I used some newer Halloween stamps, but mixed them with an older patterned paper. They also contain some of my favorite embellishments and styles out there right now. I incorporated glitter, bling, ruffled papers and ribbon, lollipop flowers and something different...wispy webs! I hope you love them as much as I do!

Frightful Fridays!!

Boo! It's Friday! Not just any Friday though, it's a Frightful Friday! Every Friday in October I will post a card or project with a Halloween theme. Don't be scared. Only some projects will be spooky, but others will be sweet!

Here is the first project, a Frightful Friday Frame. One of my customers shared this project idea with me and even gave me the frame. These frames can be found in the dollar store and come in various colors. This one was actually silver, but I painted it black to make it more haunted!! My favorite element to this frame is that it's 3D. Some items were stamped on the base paper under the glass, while other images are popped off the frame. The ribbon is simply tied around the frame piece. Very spooky, I can't wait to capture the perfect photo of my Trick~or~Treaters!
