Paper Pouches and Washi Tape {Spring Open House}

This is the final artwork from my Open House. I mentioned yesterday that there were several new My Creations items including paper pouches. One of the fun new embellishments I did not list is our new washi tape in slate grey! Both are really cool products, but they are awesome together!!

This first project was inspired by something I saw on Pinterest. It's the simple idea of dressing up a plain tealight candle. When cleverly packaged in a decorated pouch it becomes a sweet gift or wedding favor!

These paper pouches can easily be stamped on. This one is the small size measuring 3x4, the large paper pouch is 5x6.

The Washi tape is used here to seal the bag closed. The clothespin and smoothie twine make it so cute!

The Washi tape was simply wrapped around the metal base of the tealight.

I also created some paper pouch valentines!

Again I just stamped directly on the pouch leaving a space for my Cricut Artiste mustache. {I "must ask" you?}

Then I slipped a piece of kraft cardstock inside stamped with a valentine message. I created a little frame with the chalkboard marker and stamped a polka dotted heart from the Whooo's Your Valentine kit. Add some yummy chocolate and you have a fun and unique valentine....no more store bought valentines!!!

New Idea Book and more Open House Artwork

The new Spring 2013 Idea Book goes live today...hooray! I have some more artwork to share with you and of course you can browse the book for many more ideas and inspiration! Just click on the book in the right hand column to view it.

One of my favorite new paper's is the For Always collection. The black and white is so stunning and so versatile. I used one of the display trays at my Open House to show off these beautiful prints. I love that you can pop in color and change the look! {can you find the new fabric?}

I have yet to add some family photographs, but you can see that they will be nicely spread out between the decorated boxes. One big photo will go here.

I love the trend of chevron lately, it's so cool!

I pulled out some older stamp sets to complete my tray. They were perfect for my 'family at home' theme!

Look how gorgeous this new acrylic flower is! Paired with some velvet and lace against a floral background....ahhh, so pretty!

Make & Take Project {Spring Open House}

I'll have some fun artwork to share with you that was created for my Spring Open House, but first I would like to share the Make & Take project. It was inspired by a similar card featured in the Spring 2013 Idea Book and by all the amazing new products.

I am also entering this card in this week's Heart 2 Heart challenge for all that glitters! It contains some great bling and the fabulous black shimmer trim!

Here is all the fabulous new products the ladies got to play with: C1533 Fabulous You MyAcrlix stamp set, Z1820 For Always Textiles (black script fabric), Z1811 For Always Assortment (lagoon flower), Z1813 Claire Assortment (clear flower), Z1752 Sparkles Assortment, Z1809 Black Shimmer Trim and they tried out the awesome new Non-stick micro tip scissors (Z1836).

Spring Open House

I held my Spring Open House this past weekend where I showcased several new products and some artwork. We made a great project that featured many new items and I revealed upcoming classes. Here is just a look at the display table and a few snap shots of the items. I will have more detailed photo's later this week!
