Box on a Card

Is it a box on a card or a card with a mini box? Who cares, it's cute! This little project has been around the internet for awhile now. I will be teaching a Christmas version of it with the Beary Christmas paper and stamp collection. It comes with some funny little gift tags that fit perfectly inside the mini box.

You can finish this project in a variation of themes, not just Christmas. You can make them for Valentine's Day, Easter, and even makes a cool gift for someone's Birthday! At Thanksgiving I made a slightly different shape to accommodate the grateful wreath stamp. You can see that it is slightly more narrow and taller. The box is more centered, but is the same size.

These boxes contained a personal note to my family of reasons that I am thankful for them. Isn't it wonderful how one kind word can change your entire day!

Hope you are having a fun, crafty, Holiday season! Don't forget to go online to see the monthly specials. December is almost here, so that means the savings will change and the Stamp of the Month. Hint, hint....if you want the special in December, you'll want the November stamp at the $5 dollar price! Oh! and December is the last month to purchase from the Holiday Expressions Idea Book!

Spring Wreath

Inspired by the wreath on the Annual Inspirations Idea Book I created a Spring version. My customers really liked the red and white version and wanted a class. I will be teaching them how to make this wreath on Saturday from cutting all the pieces on their Cricuts to lots of hot glue assembly!

I chose some pretty colors for my flowers of pinks and yellow. The ladies will get to choose whatever colors they wish. I could see this wreath in red, white and blue perfect for the Fourth of July!

Hopefully, I will remember to take pictures of all the completed wreaths to show you the variations! Have a great week!

White Pines Wreath Card

White Pines is such a beautiful paper collection. You can use the red, brown and green papers to create a very traditional card. You can also use the cooler blue and beige colors to make a gorgeous Christmas card. Here I used the wreath from the stamp set in the WOTG collection. I added just a bit of glacier twine and some blue embellishments to decorate the wreath.

You can purchase the White Pines paper collection from the Holiday Expressions book until December 31st.

Festive Frills

Today's Christmas inspiration is a sweet pink and chocolate moving card. It uses the Wrap it Up template from the Wishes card program. I like that it does not open in the usual way, but rather it slides out of the sleeve to reveal the message. I used a stamp from last year called Festive Frills. The wreath is dressed up with some pink glitter. The background paper with the words on it is actually from the new Grace paper collection. Finally the round sentiment stamp is from the Vintage Christmas stamp.

When slid open the message revealed says: Thinking warmly of you on this cold winter night.

I hope this card inspires you to use different color combos and to create movement in your cards.
