Feel So Blessed

Every once in awhile a Stamp of the Month comes along that I really, really like. The September stamp set Feel So Blessed (S1709) was definitely one of those! This discounted stamp set will be leaving soon though. If you want to have hours of playing in your craft room and creating gorgeous cards with it, order it now! Let me inspire you with two last creations~

First card was made out of finding inspiration for it in the strangest place! I'm a big fan of the home scents of Bath & Body Works. The Leaves scent has been a favorite of mine every since its introduction. Every year they tend to mix up their designs and make you hunt around the store finding the scent you love. This years design on the room spray was fairly clean and had an eye appealing combination of color and pattern. One day it all of a sudden hit me that I could use the design in a card using the Feel So Blessed stamp of the month. It worked pretty well!

I realize that on the spray bottle there was brown leaves, but I had to use that awesome feather from the stamp set. The sentiment was stamped in white daisy on black cardstock making it really pop!

Finally, I also found inspiration on Instagram this week for another card. I was reunited with the retired Prickly Pear papers. With some more watercoloring I was able to make this simple, open sentiment become the focus of my card. I love the colors with black lining, how soft, yet striking!

You really don't want this one to pass you by! You can purchase this stamp set online here. Now

Grateful for FMS

Ugh! What a busy week I had last week! I am glad, or should I say grateful, to finally get to relax and even make a little time for crafting. Freshly Made Sketches is always a great inspiration for jumping right back into my creativity. The sketch this week was simple with a block pattern allowing me to play with several colors and patterns of the Sangria paper collection. I love what an elegant, yet fun collection Sangria is. I also love how well it lends itself to some gold glitter, because Fall screams gold glitter!

Happiness Is a Handmade Wreath

I've admired this wreath on the front cover of the latest Idea Book ever since seeing sneak peek's from convention. When available, I downloaded the recipe for it. It listed the Cricut collection, image, page number and sizing, but the rest of the instruction was up to me. I had no idea what the finished size would be? I thought it would be about the size of our 12x12 wooden frames. After making it I soon realized this was larger than our frames. I cut some cardboard from one of our shipping boxes as the base. {about 15" in diameter} Assembling the leaves and flowers was fun, but I'll warn you that it required lots of hot glue! The white is super hard to photograph, but I will say that the finished result is gorgeous!

If you are interested in making your own wreath you can download and print the recipe for yourself. In fact you can look up the recipe for any of the artwork in the Idea Book by clicking here then selecting "recipes". Please share with me if you make one, I'd love to know what you think about it!

Grateful For You Card Set

It's been awhile since I played on Heart 2 Heart Challenges, but I could not resist sharing this lovely Fall themed card set. They capture the season beautifully and show gratitude which is the challenge on H2H!

I purchased the Laughing Lola papers in bulk with the intention to use them for Halloween. The purple was just so stunning and I thought it would be perfect for a Halloween theme. It turns out that it's great for Fall too! The file folder box to hold them all was created on the Cricut Artiste cartridge. Every card is different, but they all coordinate. I used a mix of several older stamp sets, some textured cardstocks and dollar ribbon.

Here are each of the cards~

Thank you for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the Heart 2 Heart design team artwork and remember to be grateful!
