I have a fun project to share with you today. One of the newest Home Decor items available in the Spring Idea Book are these awesome 6x6 canvas displays. I of course had to go with a bicycle theme!
I am also entering this at Heart 2 Heart Challenges this week for their Home Decor challenge! I can't wait to add more canvas displays of my favorite things and create a whole wall in my scrap room!!
The canvas display comes in a natural color. I roughly painted the sides and about 1 inch from the edges on the top. I used this great paint color called Caribbean, but it reminds me of Close To My Heart's Lagoon color!
I then used Mod Podge to adhere a square of the chevron patterned For Always paper. I let that dry over night then added the other elements which included some Chantilly papers, embossed bicycle, color ready ribbon, and a chipboard bubble with an embossed sentiment.
I love how cute it turned out! Can you imagine several colorful variations decorating a lonely space on your wall! Be sure to check out the other creations for your home decorating needs at Heart2Heart!

The Paper Players ~ Peace and Comfort
The theme this week on The Paper Players is sympathy. They are indeed a difficult card to make, however they can be so welcoming to a person grieving. Using some new Chantilly papers and the gorgeous Fabulous You {C1533} bird image I've created this card. Perhaps one day it will bring some peace and comfort to a friend.

Sweet Mojo Bird
I had the chance to play with a new stamp and some papers yesterday! The Mojo Monday sketch worked perfectly for an idea I had!
Some of the new items are papers from the Claire paper pack and the lovely bird stamp is called Fabulous You. Some old favorites are kraft cardstock and color-ready seam binding inked in sky blue.

Color My Ribbons
This week on Heart 2 Heart Challenges, Team B was challenged to use ribbon on their projects. They all rocked this challenge and inspired some fabulous creations! I wanted to get to work right away and play along. You can get all the details on the Heart 2 Heart Blog.
While Close To My Heart has some fabulous ribbons, they don't offer it in every color. The solution is to color my ribbon whatever color I desire with the spectacular Color~Ready Seam Binding Ribbon!
First, I cut pieces of ribbon and lined them up with the colors I wanted to use.
Using a sponge dauber for each color, I rubbed the color on the ribbon.
Here is how I used the ribbon for this adorable Birthday card!
Do you just love this little birdie? He's one of the many images on this month's Stamp of the Month. When you spend $50 you can get this adorable stamp set for just $5.
It's also Stampaganza! Now is the perfect time to stock up on those stamps you've had on your wish list, like the Birthday Wishes sentiment also featured on my card. Buy 2 stamps of equal or lesser value and get one FREE. Get more details here.
Don't forget to play along with the ribbon challenge on Heart 2 Heart this week!

Colorful Ribbon
Have you seen the color ready seam binding ribbon? What an innovative product! It's so easy to color and the results are stunning.
For these cards I simply sponged the ink directly onto the ribbon. I was worried that once it was inked I would have ink all over my fingers, but amazingly the ink absorbs well and my fingers were still clean!
This is the card I was telling you about earlier this week. My other creation to the Inspired By #10 challenge. You can see the inspiration photo and post here.
