H2H Going Wild with Animals & Birds
This week on Heart 2 Heart blog they want to see your wild side. The challenge is to create something with an animal, bird or insect on it. I thought of these cute little "hoot, hoots" right away. I used some new papers from the Wings collection and the Sweetheart collection. I also used some of the new button assortments in the pink, red and green collections.

Card Club Box
I held my first Calendar Club this past Saturday. So far everyone is off to a great start and I am excited about the next pages to be completed. I am equally excited to start my other club that will be alternating months with the Calendar Club.
The Card Club will kick off its first class by making this darling, oh so girly, card box. It is made from the same box I used last summer as a Recipe Box. I dressed it up in fancy new Sweetheart papers and adorned it with frilly ribbon and pearls. It is an awesome start to what will be a fun club.

H2H ~ From Your Heart to Ours
In the right hand column of my blog you can find a slide show of my craft room that I posted shortly after re-organizing it with some fabulous IKEA products. My ribbon box that my hubby made for me is definitely one of my favorites. Here are a few new items I added recently to the opposite side of the room.
The first little item was inspired by Jessica on the H2H design team. She showed off her little magnet board for her Spellbinder's. I have been wanting to do this for some time now so Jessica really lit the fire! I found a roll of magnet sheet at Michael's Monday. I cut it in half creating two sheets that measure 12x12. I mounted it to a stiff piece of cardboard then covered it in some Emporium papers. My husband then assisted me with cutting pieces of inexpensive moulding to make a frame. I painted them black and sealed them with a lacquer. Now they just look like framed art on my wall.
This item is typically found in the hardware section and used to store nuts, bolts, screws etc. I however, use it for my chipboard. I labeled the outside with stickers so I can see what is inside each drawer. It makes it very quick and easy to find the perfect title for my scrap pages.
I know I was inspired this week from everyone over at H2H and hope you are too. Have a great weekend!

Hodge Podge Alphabet
Love Story rub-ons
Oxford Color Ready Alphabet
~
Coloring and stamping on the color ready alphabet is a cool technique and super easy. The letters can be colored directly on the sheet, but if you want to stamp on them then here's the trick. Use the left over sheet from your Stickease or the waxy sheet used to separate the sheets of rub-on letters like I did here. You'll then space out the letters you need and stamp them. Here I used a tiny dot pattern from a background stamp. After stamping you'll simply peel the letter from the sheet and place it on your project.

Girlfriend, Find Your Style
I'm still playing with the Stamp of the Month, Find Your Style. This time I went for deeper rich colors starting with embossing the dress form in black. I tied a velvet Tulip ribbon around the waist into a bow and added a teeny tiny pearl necklace. I used Tulip B&T papers and the rich Pacific blue Magnifique papers.

First H2H Challenge 2011
Heart 2 Heart Challenges is starting the year off with a color challenge. It's a good one too! A cheery blend of blues and greens with just a touch of orange. The colors are:
Sky, Pear, Colonial White and Sorbet
Here is what I came up with. I kept it fun and playful with stripes, dots and a cute little froggy!
Click here to see all the artwork from this year's Design Team as well as all those who entered. You can also see new info on a scrapbook challenge blog for this year. Just click the tab at the top of the H2H blog to see more details and to play along. Hey, I may just get more of my own scrapbooking completed throughout the year!

Giant Clothespins
Here is a sweet little gift I made for my sister-in-law's birthday. I found these giant wooden clothespins a while back and wanted to create them for holding photo's or artwork from my two nieces. I used some older Topstitch papers. I first glued the paper down to the front and back sides. I then used Mod Podge to cover them completely and give them a long lasting finish. I pulled some wide pink organdy ribbon through the middle and tied a great big bow in front. Then I simply adhered the darling sayings from the sheet of Stickease to the front.

Calendar Club {Class one}
My Calendar Club will begin later this month and this will be the first class. Club members will receive their kits which includes the CTMH 12x12 calendar, the brand new spray pen and materials to complete the front cover and page for the month of January. Every other month they will complete another two pages so that by the end of the year they will have a complete calendar to keep for themselves or give as a gift for the 2012 year!
For both of their starter pages I have incorporated the new Wings B&T papers. I have also used the new Bohemian Alphabet, so pretty! It's hard to tell in the pictures here, but I spritzed both pages with the new spray pen in a sparkly crystal blue mist. It just makes the pages glisten a little and really adds an icy effect to the snowflakes.

Magical Christmas Mini {Part 2}
You'll remember that a couple weeks ago I gave you a sneak peek of my Magical Christmas Mini Album. I just finished the last pages Sunday evening. I'm so pleased with my little album. Now all of our memories and celebrations of Christmas are in one magical place!

Find Your Style
This month Close To My Heart has an exciting brochure called Inspirations. It is a little book filled with lots of new goodies to hold you over until the Spring 2011 Idea Book is available. You can see the brochure and more info here. There is also a Stamp of the Month for January called Find Your Style. It contains wonderful images and sentiments. Within the images are also hidden journaling and words. It is truly a unique stamp. Take a look at some of the cards I created using this stamp and the Miracle papers. {By the way, the new Idea Book has a complete level 2 paper pack of the Miracle papers and stamps to coordinate, so pretty!}
