Yesterday I told you about the fabulous new Workshops Your Way. I showed you a layout that I created using the online guide. Remember that the guide will show you step-by-step how to create 3 layouts, a pocket scrapbooking layout and several cards.

Today I'd like to show you another layout from the guide. This time I put my own personal touch on the project. I changed the patterned papers to ones that appealed to me more and chose portions of the design to leave out or change.

Like the other layout I incorporated some chipboard embellishments, self sticking titles, gold puffies and pocket scrapbooking cards for journaling. I hope this layout encourages you to try a Workshop Your Way, because it can truly be created YOUR WAY!!

Charlotte Workshop Your Way

In the newest Seasonal Expressions Book you will find the brand new Workshops Your Way. This is a new program that will allow you to make several pieces of artwork with just a handful of supplies. They are perfect for traditional scrapbooker's, pocket scrapbooker's and card makers. A typical workshop includes a paper packet, complements and cardstock. Additional embellishments will vary from puffies, ribbon and washi tape. A list of additional project materials can be found on the same page as the WYW kit, this includes stamp sets, thin cuts, ink and recommended adhesive. A Workshop kit is priced at only $26.95. That is a fantastic deal when you consider that with the easy-to-follow online guide you can create 3 traditional layouts, a pocket scrapbook layout and multiple cards in various design options.

Here is just a sample page from the Charlotte collection. I simply followed the online guide to create this layout using just a fraction of the materials in the kit.

Where you see some blank spaces of cardstock is obviously where some photo's will go. You will also notice the use of chipboard embellishments, self sticking titles, ribbon, gold puffies and pocket scrapbooking cards for journaling. I love that you still incorporate some stamping and the guide uses every little piece possible including those awesome zip strips. You could further personalize this layout with more stamping, paper distressing or even some Cricut cuts.

Tomorrow I will show you another layout that was from the guide. I personalized it to my taste just a little bit, but I think you'll enjoy seeing the possibility these workshops have.

You're the Bomb Mini's

One of the first items on my wish list from the brand new Seasonal Expressions book was the You're the Bomb stamp set. This stamp set has the cutest little images and some great phrases in a fun hand written font. What really makes this stamp set cool though is that a portion of the proceeds is being donated to Operation Smile. You get an awesome stamp set while a child gets confidence through their smile for a lifetime! That is pretty cool!

I inked up a few of the images and phrases to create some mini 3x3 cards for my customers. With any purchase they get to choose a set of cards and wouldn't you know that I didn't have a single set of these left over!!

Love Note

Want a little sneak peek?! My card today features some new products available December 1st from the Heartstrings collection found in the Seasonal Expressions. I'm also playing along with the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches and the "no" ink challenge on Heart 2 Heart.

 

There was no ink used in the making of this card. The darling typewriter image is from the Heartstrings Complements and the mini badge button is one of 8 pieces in the Heartstrings Assortment. With embellishments this cute there is no need to stamp with ink! Plus, no inky fingers!

What Makes You Happy

My scrapbooking room is covered in goodness right now! My order for the new CTMH Seasonal Expressions catalog came along with some brand new products. I could not resist playing with just a few items for a couple of challenges.

The first challenge is a simple sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. It is a nice clean template that allowed me to use a PML card that I had in mind. The second challenge is for Heart 2 Heart's "NO" stamping challenge. For the entire month of 'No'vember, all of their challenges will have something to do with saying "NO"! To ask me not to stamp is practically like cutting off my right arm, seriously!! Then I saw the gorgeous brand new Hopscotch PML cards and it was a "NO"~brainer!

I just adore the sentiment on this card, "Do more of what makes you happy"! Yes, please! No need to stamp when the PML card says it all! To dress it up I simply added some twine, Hopscotch Stickease and a puffy 3-D sorbet heart.Totally cute and not a single stamp was inked!
