So Long Super Stars!

Just a quick post to show you the little treats I made for the students I help all year long!

I wrapped some Hershey's chocolate in Fanfare papers then tucked them in a snack sized ziploc bag. I created a label with their names and stars on them, because they are all super stars to me!

Clean & Simple {RCC3 challenge}

I recently discovered another challenge blog called Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blogspot. I missed the first couple of challenges, but that's o.k.! The basic rule is to create anything that comes on a spool, such as: ribbon, twine, jute, lace etc.

This week's challenge is to keep is Clean & Simple. I left some white space for you eyes to rest, while incorporating interesting embellishments and colorful twine.

You can practically hear the music! Take a closer look and you'll see that I've stamped the music notes behind the clear buttons.

It's July Already?

I can hardly believe that it's July already. This summer is flying by! I saw the post on Heart 2 Heart Challenges Blog for this week and was inspired to get Patriotic! Here are some scenes from around the house.

The first little goodie are some fabulous stars that were inspired by Helen over on the H2H Blog. I have larger tin stars throughout my home, so these were right down my alley! {products are CTMH except B&T papers are Cosmo Cricket}

On our recent vacation I was inspired to use floral's. I've had this patriotic tin for some time now and simply filled it with various floral's.

My daughter was inspired by a recent American Girl Magazine article to create her own 4th of July t~shirt. She had fun creating this and it kept her busy for a little while.

Sketch Challenge from Betsy Veldman

Betsy Veldman is a Go-To gal and incredibly talented artist. I'm sure you've all seen her art in various publications. I like to peek in on her blog from time to time for inspiration. She recently posted a sketch challenge that was just too cute to pass up. If you want more fun sketches from Betsy or other Go-To gals I would strongly suggest getting the Go-To Sketches book published by Paper Crafts Magazine. You can get more details on Betsy's blog and see what other creations were submitted for this challenge.


I created 2 cards from the sketch. The first one is done exactly as the sketch shows. For some reason outer space, rockets and stars came to mind??




This second card flips the sketch sideways.
