The inspiration photo on Inspired By this week has some very bold colors of bright yellow and dark blue on a lighter blue background. Polka dots seem to be everywhere now lately, fashion, home decor and paper crafts of course. This is what I came up with for this challenge~
I strongly encourage you to check out the artwork this week on Inspired By. There are some very creative entries that will truly inspire you!

I am playing along with 3 challenges today. I suppose these challenges pushed me to try something really different and unexpected for a Christmas card! Here it is~
I used the sketch at Freshly Made.
I added some snowflakes for the challenge at the paper players.
Finally, my savvy shopping gal was inspired by the photo at Inspired By!

Organization Station
As promised here is an up close of the baskets I created for the recent Inspired By challenge here. My baskets were ordered from Pick Your Plum. The floor tiles in the inspiration photo is what made me think of these chicken wire baskets. An organization station is a great description from Laurel. These are hanging in a hallway where my kids pass by on their way to get ready for school. It also made a great area for me to organize mailing materials.
This basket houses a variety of empty envelopes. For the pen holder I recycled an older accessories container. I used one of the new chalkboard labels and chalk marker. I attached the holder with a clip to the outside of the basket. Now the pens are quickly within reach!
This basket holds an envelope of stamps and tags to indicate what day mail is due to go out in the mail box. It is simply decorated with a cute pennant banner!
The last basket has decorated file folders meant specifically for the kids school work and signed papers that are due. They are labeled Monday through Friday. Now my children can check the folder for that day before they head out the door to school.
I also decorated this little notebook. This will come in handy for additional notes or reminders that need to be pinned to the file.
Ahhh! It feels so good to get organized! Especially when it looks decorative and fun!

Inspired By Burlap & Black
I was inspired by the comfy, cozy photo at the Inspired By Blog! My thoughts immediately went to burlap ribbon to mimic the basket in the photo. I wanted to pull in some black, but keep the entire card simple on a clean white base.
Be sure to see Laurel's lovely creation and play along with the Inspired By #48 challenge!

Elegant Spooky Dining Table
I have been setting my table with lots of fun accessories lately, trying out some new Halloween looks. I wanted to try something that was just black and white. Then I saw the inspiration photo on the Inspired By Blog. I love the white pumpkins in the photo, but wanted to make it a bit spookier. Once it was all done I thought I achieved that spooky feeling, yet it still seems elegant!
I found lots of items around my house that I simply re~purposed and made new stuff with my craft supplies. Instead of pumpkins, I chose skulls as my centerpiece. I will share more with you later this week on how I "re-skulled" them!
The table setting came together with some blinged out chargers, plain white plates, black napkins and a handmade napkin ring. The ring is made from dry embossed cardstock, stitched ribbon and a Cricut Artiste rose made from Moonlight paper.
My candle votives came from a metal holder I use throughout the year in the center of my table. I simply covered them in Silhouette paper. This paper is definitely elegant!
These frosted glass coasters come with an opening in the back for a picture. I stamped this awesome skull from the Thriller stamp set and sponged some grey ink to really make it pop!
If you would like to know where I found any of these items, please leave me a comment. I will show you another table setting I created with a fun pop of Halloween colors, stay tuned!!

Inspired By 43 {more nutty art!}
Two posts in one day, crazy huh?! My intentions were to create one card for both the Mojo Monday sketch and the Inspired By photo, but as I created I felt like I lost direction for the Inspired By challenge. What I truly loved about the inspiration photo was all the white clean space. So I cleared off my desk and started all over again!
{Cardstock, felt acorn, stamp & olive twine is CTMH; all other products were from local craft store and begging to see day light again!}

Fall Mini Cards
I love making mini cards and tags to drop into my customers bags as a thanks for their order. These are going to be perfect for the Fall. I am entering them in the Heart 2 Heart mini card challenge as well as the Inspired By blog that has a lovely inspiration photo this week!
The cards measure 3x3 and uses CTMH stamps Captured Moments (C1423) and Harvest Happiness (C1463) in Goldrush, Twilight and Chocolate inks. (orange gems are not CTMH)

Hip Hip Hooray
I'm playing along with two more of my favorite challenges today. The first is a fabulous sketch at Mojo Monday and the other is a very cool photo on Inspired By!
The longer pennants in the sketch worked perfectly to represent the oars in the inspiration photo. I was also inspired by the distressed colors and just had to include that number 3 in there. Although the irresistible number three chipboard is a rectangular shape, the burst of rays around it gives the illusion of a circular element.
Ahhh! My card, this sketch and the photo all make me really happy! : )
