Let Me Introduce You

Have you met the new colors of the Annual Inspirations Idea Book? There are 5 new colors and they can be found in the Whimsy collection. To introduce you to the new colors I have created mini 3x3 cards using the ink color, cardstock color and the fundamental papers which feature the color in a fun pattern.

Thistle~ This is a vibrant, fun purple. It is perfect for Halloween and similar to the purple in the Laughing Lola papers.

Glacier~ An icy blue color, not too light and just a hint of grey.

Flaxen~ This color is a little bit of a mustard and hay mixture. It is the golden color found in the Laughing Lola paper.

 

 Canary~ What a cheerful yellow! I was a little bummed when they were discontinuing the creme brulee, because it was my go-to yellow color. However, I'm happy with the change as this is a brighter and more vibrant yellow!

 

Pixie~ I don't think there could be a cuter name for a bashful pink color! It's much more pink than Blush and so girlie. 

I wrapped up all the new fun colors in this cute, decorated cello bag. One lucky guest at my workshop this Saturday will get to take them all home. Not only will they have adorable cards, but now they will have swatches of the new colors to see in person!

I used the Have a Happy Day stamp set to decorate all the cards and the bag. It is also a brand new item in the Annual Inspirations Idea Book. It has some great sentiments and cute images, making it a versatile stamp set. It was definitely one of the first stamp sets on my list! Gifts From the Heart

I am one of those people that really enjoys watching others open their gifts! Especially when it's a gift that was made from the heart, something special that was created with just that person in mind. Here are some ideas that you still have time to make!

 

A homemade ornament for the tree. I like to add something new to my tree every year. I make sure to put the date on the back so that each December when we pull out the ornaments we look at them and remember the prior years. My kids each have their own ornaments on the tree and one day when they have families of their own, they will take these ornaments to place on their own trees.

 

 

 

A set of cute gift bag tags/cards. Make them simple, but make them cute. These little cards become useful and the recipients with a homemade tag will appreciate the handmade touch.

 



 

Giving a gift card is a great choice for some of those on your list. Rather than just a card tucked away in a card, add the card and some homemade cookies to an inexpensive container. Homemade sweets are a great gift for those that don't cook or have the time to prepare goodies. I have some folks on my list that requests certain sweets & cookies every year! {I tried some new recipes this year that were delicious, I will share them with you soon!}

Speaking of packaging! This is a set of gifts I have already mailed off. I like to make them all coordinate. To do this I used some kraft wrapping, red twine and Santa tags.

I stamped directly on the paper a little clue to what they might find inside. Homemade gift from my home to theirs~

And some "fun" to be had in this package. There were also lots of cookies with the boxes stamped "freshly baked"!

Take a look at this wrapping. Using the kraft paper again, I wrapped some packages in teal twine and some in red. I made little postage like stamps and adhered them to the gift. {inspired by Pinterest of course!} However, I did not write who they are to and from! It has my kids baffled!!! They see them sitting there by the tree, but curiously wonder who they are for. Only momma knows the "color code"!!! {Boo-hoo-hoo, ha, ha, ha}

Fall Mini Cards

I love making mini cards and tags to drop into my customers bags as a thanks for their order. These are going to be perfect for the Fall. I am entering them in the Heart 2 Heart mini card challenge as well as the Inspired By blog that has a lovely inspiration photo this week!

The cards measure 3x3 and uses CTMH stamps Captured Moments (C1423) and Harvest Happiness (C1463) in Goldrush, Twilight and Chocolate inks. (orange gems are not CTMH)

All Wrapped Up

As promised here is a closer look at the raffle prizes I gave out during the Open House. I collected a few of these plastic containers and filled them with hand~made cards. The cards were inspired by the Wishes card book. They measure 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 in size which fit the box perfectly. I created some in a Halloween theme and some in a Christmas theme. Each were made with love and I think the recipient...or should I say lucky winner...liked them.
