Memories in the Making ~ Happy Place layout

Are you celebrating National Stamping Month? Don't forget that Close To My Heart has an amazing special to celebrate this month called Memories in the Making. You can create a 12x12 calendar with this kit or use the Cut Above pages to fill your traditional 12x12 scrapbook. Either a completed calendar or a scrapbook album would make a wonderful gift for the upcoming holidays.

Here is a quick video to show just how easily a layout can be completed!

September Celebrations!

I told you earlier this week about the September special to celebrate National Stamping Month. I even made a video so that you can see how the Cut Above kits come packaged to you and how easily they can be created. You can find that video here.

This kit can be added to a 12x12 calendar or they can simply be a scrapbook layout. I even showed you how some pages coordinate well with one another and can be combined to form a two-page layout. Each page assembled as shown in the workshop guide can literally be assembled in under 15 minutes.

For some of you the pages may not have as much dimension or stamping as you wish and you can always embellish more as you see fit. For myself I found that one page in particular just was not appealing to me. I did not care for the background of the base page,so I found an easy fix and made it work for another picture....another celebration!

September is when my husband and I celebrate our wedding anniversary and this page would work wonderfully for the "Together" title. I pulled out some older whimsy fundamentals paper that had the word love all over it and that made the rest of the colors and picture come together.

If you are thinking about ordering the Making Memories special in September, keep in mind that you have multiple possibilities for each of these pages and you can make changes however you like. Most of the work is done for you, yet you have the option to pull in your own creative choices.

You can see all of the ordering options online here. Don't let this incredible offer pass you by!

Thanks Little Critter

Heart 2 Heart Challenges Blog {and any stamping enthusiast} is celebrating Stamping Month all of September. With the newest Annual and Holiday Idea Books just having been released, there are all sorts of new My Acrylix stamp sets to play with this month. One of the stamp sets that caught my interest in the Holiday Expressions book was the Woodland Critters. The animals are adorable and the sentiment bubbles are cute for any occasion. It was really that raccoon that stole my heart though!

I am entering this card in the H2H challenge for that stamped raccoon. I did choose to use the "thanks" thin cut instead of one of the sentiments on the stamp set. {Don't worry I'll be showing more of these critters with the talk bubbles soon!} I chose the Swan Lake papers in a variety of colors and patterns to be the backdrop for Mr. raccoon.

Get more details on these products or order online here.

Stay tuned for more fall inspired cards featuring some more of these adorable critters!

Hello, Life! Saying Goodbye!

National Stamping Month is almost over!

Hello Little Lovely Flower Jar

I have been fascinated for quite some time with mason jar crafts. From food gifts to home lighting, even scrapbook projects, these jars have endless possibility! You can imagine how happy I was to see a mason jar with flowers on the new Artistry cartridge. It is just adorable and so easy to size and cut out.

For this card I was inspired by some colors I saw recently on a shopping excursion. I'm especially fascinated with the hints of gold with these coral and mint colors. Many of us have also found an interest in painting, particularly a spray or splat of paint on our projects. For this card though I practically cheated on the splats as I used the nifty Ink Blot {D1660} stamp set found in the new Annual Inspirations book. I am entering this card on Heart 2 Heart Challenges this week for their "Splat" theme!

Close up of the splats!

There's that awesome "hello" sentiment again! Don't forget that you can get the amazing National Stamping Month sets at a discounted price when you buy all three. They will only be available this month, special ends September 30th.

More Watercolors and Ink Blots

I was playing with some more watercolors, this time blending them together on my card base. I also incorporated some ink blots the easy way! No messy splattering required! I simply inked up the brand new Ink Blot My Acrylix stamp with various colors and stamped it over the watercolors. What an addictive and fun stamp! Once all the paints were dry I used the Hello, Life! stamp set to add a sentiment and also added some sparkly bling.

(D1660) Ink Blot $17.95

Open House~ Wall of "Colorful" Cards!

At my Open House last weekend I introduced my guests to the "new" color families. I am so glad that Close To My Heart decided to streamline them and personally think the change was a brilliant idea. I will miss some of the colors that have retired, but embrace the new changes! Here is a little clothespin idea I created to showcase the new "lines" of color!

I just love the new names they were each given as well! {Enchantment, Adventure & Whimsy}

I also displayed several cards within some of the color families using several new stamps from the Artiste Collection and the National Stamping Month promotion "It's Your Day"!

Here are some of the cards up close~

It's Your Day!

It's almost time to celebrate National Stamping Month! Close To My Heart has an awesome promotion once again. It's a double stamp set filled with images that are so versatile and trendy. It's called It's Your Day.

When I first saw this double set I immediately thought of the smash books and project life ideas. How perfect the images are for quick and easy scrapping! For my project that I featured at my Open House, I used CTMH horizontal pocket protectors to create a divided layout. This was the perfect solution to various random pics from a recent vacation. I had captured a few moments from here and there, but they were not enough pictures from one subject to fill a two page layout.

The front page~

The back page~

I am also submitting my post today for the "Dog Days" challenge on Heart 2 Heart! Our beagle Belle loves to go on vacation with us! She loves the adventure and all the new smells. She's not a girly girl either, which is why I thought how funny it would be to add a rhinestone collar with our bling gems to the page! Ha Ha! LOL!

The ladies attending my Open House loved the idea of these pages. The larger 12x12 pages can be somewhat intimidating and more time consuming. They loved that you could quickly and easily embellish a 4x6 section and fill the pockets as you go. The horizontal and vertical page protectors were my best seller at Open House!

It's Your Day double stamp set would be the perfect companion to creating these types of pages.

Starting August 15th, when you place a minimum order of $35 in retail product, you can receive this set for only $5. This promotion will run until September 30th. I will have some more cards to show you later this week using some of the images. You can place an order with me or shop online here.
