I knew that I would want the August Stamp of the Month from the moment I saw it in the Seasonal Expressions Idea Book. It has some really fun catch phrases and timeless images. These work great for both your crafty cards and your scrapbook layouts! Here are a few cards I made to display for my customers.
I chose just a few of the images and sentiments. I also pulled in some papers from current collections and also some sneak peeks of papers coming in September! You will find some pml cards and zip strips too!
You can get this stamp in the month of August for only $5 with a qualifying purchase. For that price I'm certain you will find all sorts of projects that these would work great for!

Hello Unicorns
Despite my lack in posts here on the Blog, I must reassure you that I am making time to play in my craft room. Especially now with the big Stampaganza sale happening! Some of my favorite stamps are simply sayings or sentiments. They can convey your message on a card or show emotion to a scrapbooking page. Close To My Heart has several stamp sets with some traditional sentiments and some very trending, popular sayings. This month is the perfect time to stock up on your favorites! Here is just a cute card I created using the Dreamin' Big papers, a few embellishments and a thin cut. The perfect sentiment can be found on the inside of the card.
This greeting on the inside was made up of 2 different sentiment stamps, so go ahead and mix it up!
I posted the front of this card on Instagram a few days ago. If you are not on Instagram, I recommend that you join, its a ton of inspiration. If not, you can always click on the camera/Instagram logo on the right of my blog just under my profile. It will take you to my page. There you will find more artwork posted regularly and in most cases before I get it on my Blog.

Sweet and Studly Georgie
I just received some of the new Georgie papers and I'm already in love with its color scheme and patterns. Here is a little card I did for a birthday that can be for someone younger. The elephants are adorable are work perfectly for an infant or small child.
The other patterns in the pack are well suited for someone older, maybe even a teen would love the colors and chevron pattern! {This was proven when my teenage daughter entered my craft room and immediately saw it on my desk and said "Oooh! This is a cool card, who is it for?"} ;)
A simple white and gray color combo makes this paper collection great for a masculine card. Even a little bit of a deep gray glitter paper and metal triangles looks stunning with it! Plus the sentiment is funny and we can all use more humor in our lives! {Laughing makes you live longer too!}
I hope that you will look at the Georgie paper for much more than just baby showers, it really is a great collection!

Celebrations Month!
Sorry for not posting in awhile! My schedule has been full and it is officially celebrations month. This week we celebrated reading week at school and I have been busy with activities and projects for various classrooms. It was also my father and my husbands Birthdays this week. But that's not all! I have been busy working on plans for my daughter's Birthday this weekend too!
Needless to say it has been crazy this week. However, when I saw the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches I could hardly resist! What a fun sketch and I do need a special card for my Birthday Girl!
I love the new embossing folders from Close To My Heart. I chose the chevron pattern for this card and peeking out beneath is the lovely Skylark papers. I also incorporated the new pink glitter paper as the band and pleated some gray grosgrain ribbon behind it. These colors are perfect for my fashionable teen and has layer upon layer of texture!

A Sparkly Sketch Challenge!
Today I created a Holiday card for two challenges. The first is a sketch challenge on Freshly Made Sketches! The second is a challenge to "glitter it up" on Heart 2 Heart! This simple card becomes a slightly modern Holiday card with the use of a glittery medallion from the mini-medley accents and non-traditional colors from the Avonlea paper kit!
{All products used are Close To My Heart except the sheer ribbon; Avonlea paper, mini-medley accents in slate, sparkles grey assortment, sentiment; perfect fit holidays}
