Third Times a Charm

Here is another mini accordian album made from a 12 x 12 file folio folder {say that three times fast!}. I made this one slightly different by attaching the back pages to create a mini "book". I really liked using the daydream papers for this because the colors worked for both male and female. The book was created as a gift for my cousin who is expecting her third child. This is a great little book to have as she grows up and can reflect back on it. On the tags her momma can write little notes about the family member or she can write about what they felt about the little ones arrival. My cousin is very clever in all her writing and journaling that I'm sure what ever she decides will be wonderful.

Super Stylin' Mommy Card

I have been stamping with the Ms. On the Go stamp set some more and using the paper piecing technique. I think this one is such a hip and modern mom and buggy. It was easier to paper piece her and the buggy than the "shopping girl" with her packages and all. The ribbon on the hood of the buggy was a bit more difficult, but I think it worked out fine. There is one more gal in this stamp set that I hope to incorporate on a project soon.

Cookie sheet memo board

Here is February's Scramp Club project. The ladies were interested in making a memo board from a cookie sheet. This is a fairly simple project, but really makes an original decoration for your home or office. They will also make a mini calendar to post on it for future scrapbooking dates. I also loved the simplicity of the little magnets made from circular magnets, punched paper and the clear circle window charms.

Valentine Sweets

Just sharing some valentine sweets. I thought that I would get a head start on treats for my daughter to share with her classmates. A couple weeks back we found these great big heart suckers in the dollar section at Target. $1 for those great big pops, how could I pass it up. My daughter and I made some quick tags from a scallop punch and stamp, then tied them on with clearance ribbon I purchased last year. Easy, quick and inexpensive.

Born To Shop

I really like our new "Ms." stamps! I wanted to play with them all, but only had time for one. She is a shopping girl and oh, so stylish. I stamped her, then paper pieced her clothing and the packages. I also love the new Emporium papers. The greens and blues look so mod with the cocoa. Finally, these pewter designer brads are awesome. Can't wait to stamp the other gals.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

So here is a follow up to the "boy" cards. Now it's the girls turn to play. Again, I used several different stamp sets, but kept the same paper packet throughout. I chose the brand new Daydream paper packet, because of all the girlie colors and design. I noticed that I like to "bling out" the girl cards more than the boys... of course. Check 'em out!

Scrapping with photo pages

This idea came from a CTMH TV episode which you can find on the Closetomyheart.com home page. I really liked the idea of creating a vertical panorama page divided on the {3} 4x6 sections. In the center of the panorama is another photo slip covered to reveal some hidden journaling. Totally a fun project and you can display several photo's from a single event. I love the idea and am so happy with the result. Check out the CTMH episode and try a page for yourself.

Let's Hear It for the Boys!

So I have a few "boy" birthdays and occasions coming up in the next few weeks and wanted to get a head start on cards. I used a couple different MyAcrylix stamp sets for all of the cards, but I only used the Stardust Level 2 papers for all of them. Here were the results and a reminder that Close To My Heart papers are truly versatile and can be used for several themes!

Next, I will create "girl" themed cards. I wonder which paper I will choose?

Folio Mini Album

Here is a fun project that Close To My Heart introduced last year. It's called a True Fit Folio Mini Accordian Album. With a few folds and cuts you can create this mini album out of one 12X12 file folio. I decorated this one with the Let's Get Together papers and Stickease. All that remains to be done is to add some photo's and journaling on the tags that tuck ever so neatly in the pockets. It's a great project for a family vacation or a special occasion.

Valentine Club Project

Here is my January Scramp Club project. Ladies will learn to use Close To My Heart's 9x9 journaling pages to create cards. It's a great way to make the most of your papers and to think outside of the box. I chose the Amore' papers and the gals will get their choice of darker cards (tulip colors) or lighter cards (blush colors). The best part of the new journaling pages is that there are more choices of patterns. All of the card ideas are from the Originals book.
