Celebrate Clementine Mojo

Today I'm giving you a sneak peek at one of the new paper collections called Clementine. I must admit that this paper was the first to be added on my "must have" list from the Autumn/Winter Idea Book. I created this square card for the Mojo Monday sketch this week. I love these Kraft cards, they are so versatile. Instead of having the scallop flap on the outside, I've re-purposed it to hold a gift card and bookmark on the inside. The sketch is sort of "convertible", I thought it turned out pretty cool, what do you think?

The front sentiment band slides off the card so you can open it to reveal the gift inside.

The Clementine papers are so pretty and the Cottage flower Assortment is the perfect compliment. What is your favorite paper pack in the new book so far?

Burgers and Ice Cream

Mixing some old papers with some brand new ones for this layout today! Do you have those old familiar places that you enjoy visiting time and time again while on vacation? We certainly do, so I wanted to really capture that in my scrapbook this year.

I pulled out some older Typeset papers and popped in some new yellow {creme brulee} papers from the Clementine paper pack. It was the perfect combination for my traditional eateries layout!

The layout design came from the new how-to book Make It from Your Heart. If you look closely you can see a new stamp image from one of the MyAcrylix stamps in the Cricut Artiste Collection.

Got Mojo?

Ever feel like you lost your crafting mojo? Luckily I always rediscover my mojo with the release of a new Idea Book. I have been crafting like crazy in my room, but wanted to take some time for a challenge and share with you here on my blog. Today I am using the sketch over on Mojo Monday this week along with some new papers and stamps from the Autumn/Winter Idea Book. Check it out.

The cream and pink papers are from the older Lucy paper pack, but the black and cream striped paper are from the new Halloween themed paper kit called Moonlight.

The award ribbon was stamped with one of the My Acrylix stamps that is included in the Cricut Artiste Collection. You can cut the shapes for the award circles as well as the ribbon pennants.
If you look closely in the photo you will see the one I used on the bottom right.

Water Fun {with} Heart 2 Heart

The challenge this week at Heart 2 Heart is to create a project about Water Fun in the Summer time!

My family just recently spent 2 weeks having fun in the water and mountains of Lake Tahoe. My brother treated us to a couple of days boating and relaxing on the beach. His boat has always been in our family. He and I have many fond memories from our childhood and now our children are creating great experiences on it too! How cool is that!

*New Product Alert* I've created a fun banner with some pennants and strung them on a line of brand new black&white grosgrain ribbon! I folded it in half and then tied it all together with some twine.

My layout today is from a brand new how-to book featured in the Autumn/Winter 2012 Idea Book. It's called Make It from Your Heart Volume 1. In the past, how-to books were either all scrapbooking or all cards. This book however contains 16 two-page layouts, two single-page patterns and 12 card patterns. The artwork is gorgeous with several samplings of variations for many of the designs. The patterns also coordinate with the current and up-coming Workshop on the Go kits. The best part...it's only $7.95! Oh yes, you'll be seeing many of these patterns right here on my Blog!

Hip Hip Hooray

I'm playing along with two more of my favorite challenges today. The first is a fabulous sketch at Mojo Monday and the other is a very cool photo on Inspired By!

The longer pennants in the sketch worked perfectly to represent the oars in the inspiration photo. I was also inspired by the distressed colors and just had to include that number 3 in there. Although the irresistible number three chipboard is a rectangular shape, the burst of rays around it gives the illusion of a circular element.

Ahhh! My card, this sketch and the photo all make me really happy! : )

H2H Sorbet Sketch

Now that the July Parade of Pages is over, it's time to play along again with my favorite challenges. It's a sketch challenge on Heart 2 Heart blog this week. The pattern is fairly clean and straight forward allowing room for lots of creativity and embellishing. I've pulled the lovely Sorbet cardstock and matching B&T paper for this card. It has nuetral colors of Colonial White and Desert Sand with just a pop of Sky blue. {all of these colors will remain in the new Idea Book!} Take a look~

Here is the sketch~

As mentioned above, the colors on my challenge card will all still be available in the new Autumn/Winter Idea Book. Unfortunately many other colors are being retired. Please take a look at the list below and get the ones you want before they're gone!

Parade of Pages {End with Family}

You've reached the end of the parade! I hope you enjoyed my parade of pages and have found some inspiration. I scrapbook because my family is the most important thing to me in my life and I want to preserve all our memories. I felt it would be most appropriate to share these final pages that focuses on that.

Parade of Pages {Perfect Day}

These papers take me back a couple of years. They were gorgeous papers and like so many products that I love I was trying to hoard them and not use them. How silly right!? They look amazing and in a way I'm still hoarding them in my scrapbook for years and years and years!

Parade of Pages {Back 2 School}

I know, I know! Don't remind you that the bliss of Summer will unfortunately come to an end. I love having my kids home for summer, but I also love to hear about their day at school. They start to miss their friends and activities. So needless to say, the day will come to go back!

The Typeset papers are fabulous! What a cool color combination for a school theme. Plus these canvas stickers that coordinate with them are totally awesome!

Parade of Pages {Zippidee Moment}

Earlier in the Parade I showed you some fun Disney themed pages using the Zippidee papers. These will coordinate with them perfectly. I always come back with so many pictures, so hopefully all four of these will be enough!

Parade of Pages {Believe in Miracles}

The lovely Miracle papers began as a kit before they were available in the Idea Book. One of the things I loved about it were these big pre-cut shapes like you see here on the left side. The Irresistibles Chipboard was also amazing! I pulled out some of those Kraft color-ready borders and some really old felt shapes. It feels so good to finally use up some of these products and the pages turned out pretty nice. It's a miracle!

Parade of Pages {Let's go for a Ride}

Summer time means lots of activities to keep the kids moving. Us adults too! We love swimming, hiking and riding the best! For these pages I used the Elemental papers again and a mellow color combination. I'm on a mission to collect stamps with bicycles lately. Unfortunately this means I purchase from other than Close To My Heart, I promise though it's just for the 'wheelie' cool bike stamps! : ) The stamps I used for this page are from Hero Arts. Everything else is CTMH!

Parade of Pages {Scatter Sunshine}

How about some more splendor & sunshine on this parade!  These pages are so much fun! They are colorful and have space for several photo's. The Stickease makes it easy to add embellishments and even a spot for journaling!

Parade of Pages {Christmas in July}

It's never too early to start preparing for the Holidays. I know some crafters that begin all their Christmas cards now. So why not have some Christmas pages ready for all those pictures I always take!

I used some older Mistletoe papers that I'm certain will be a perfect fit for any photo's I might take as the colors match my home Holiday decor. I am so in love with how my little banner turned out. It was created with the Milepost Corrugated Shapes, scallop punch and the Typewriter Keys alpha stamp.
