The Paper Players ~ Peace and Comfort

The theme this week on The Paper Players is sympathy. They are indeed a difficult card to make, however they can be so welcoming to a person grieving. Using some new Chantilly papers and the gorgeous Fabulous You {C1533} bird image I've created this card. Perhaps one day it will bring some peace and comfort to a friend.

Merry & Bright Ornaments

Last Monday I finished making all my cards, addressing the envelopes and mailed them out. Here was my last group of cards using up some leftover papers and embellishments. I had a few cards leftover from the ones I created for my Christmas card exchange too. I love how the bright colors of the ornaments pop against the black and white card. The little colored pearls are actually from a dollar store and worked perfectly.

Finally, the whole assortment {minus a few others that you'll see later}. Thank goodness for pictures, because I really get attached to my little creations and it's hard to send them off!

Button It Up ~ RCC12

The Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog encourages us to "button it up" this week. I love adding buttons to my projects and the new CTMH buttons offer a beautiful variety. I chose to add the buttons first with hemp to a strip of cream twill ribbon. I then attached it to the front of a clear scalloped card. I love the peek-a-boo effect of the clear card while still adding layers of dimension.
